Community Involvement

Big Bike

Big Bike is how we come together and honor the memory of 2 cherished team members. We’re embarking upon our 4th annual ride and are proud to help raise funds to support the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Ronald McDonald House

Our team’s most recent passion is the Ronald McDonald House in Calgary. We’re committed to preparing a meal for the families there at least once per quarter. Team members pay out of pocket to support this great cause. We also rely on the kindness and generosity of small business owners that donate food from time to time.

Calgary Sun Adopt-a-Family

Adopting a family each Christmas is a time-honored tradition that is near and dear to our hearts. Every year we come together as a team to pool funds and support a family in need.

Being a loyal TELUS authorized dealer means supporting TELUS’ “We give where we live” initiatives. We are proud to say that we did our part to help TELUS reach their goal of 1 million volunteer hours in 2017!

Local Food Banks

Our team members are almost as passionate about casual work attire as we are community involvement! We pay into a bi-weekly fund which enables us to participate in “Casual Fridays”. All proceeds are donated to each community’s local food bank on an annual basis.

Kindness Crusade

Community involvement is a passion of ours at Phone Experts; whether through random acts of kindness, monetary donation, or contribution of time. It is of the utmost importance to keep the improvement of the communities that we work and live in top of mind.

This year, the Consumer Solutions team is embarking on a Kindness Crusade! It is our mission to get out into the community at least 100 times to spread kindness. We want to lean into community involvement more now than ever and invite you to join us on our crusade.

#1 Random act of kindness on Feb 5, 2018:

The team in Strathmore delivered donuts to the Bell & Rogers stores. Our teams worked together (with the RCMP) to prevent a theft and ultimately succeeded in catching the “bad guys” that were stealing units all over Alberta.

#2 Calgary Ronald McDonald House: :

Members from our Cochrane, Strathmore & Westbrook locations worked together to prepare a brunch for the families at the Calgary Ronald McDonald House. We want to thank Our Flames Restaurant & Lounge in Old, AB for their very generous contribution of ingredients. They most definitely reduced the out of pocket expenditures for participating team members.
